About the game
Frogger is a classic arcade game where you control a frog trying to reach its home at the top of the screen. The bottom half is a busy road with cars and trucks zooming by. The top half is a river with logs and turtles you must ride across. One touch from a vehicle, one slip into the water, and you lose a life.
Originally released by Konami in 1981, Frogger is one of the most recognizable arcade games ever made. The combination of traffic-dodging tension and log-riding precision creates a game that is easy to understand but surprisingly deep. This version faithfully recreates the experience.
How to play
- Use the arrow keys to move the frog one square at a time.
- Dodge cars and trucks on the road. Touching any vehicle costs a life.
- In the river, hop onto logs and turtles to ride across. Falling into the water costs a life.
- Reach all five home bays at the top to complete the level.

Five beginner tips
1. One square at a time
Frogger is a game of patience. Moving one square per tap gives you total control over positioning.
2. Watch the patterns
Vehicles and logs follow fixed patterns. Spend a few seconds watching before you move.
3. Stay in the centre lane
The centre of the road and river usually has the most predictable traffic. Use it as your staging area.
4. Turtles dive randomly
Some turtles will submerge without warning. Don't stay on them too long — keep hopping.
5. The home bays move
After you fill a home bay, the remaining ones shift. Adapt your route as you progress.
Why you'll like it
Frogger is the perfect mix of strategy and timing. Each attempt feels winnable, each death feels fair, and the satisfaction of finally reaching all five home bays is unmatched.
